So, here are the pictures of four bales of straw that we got from Amherst.
We decided to mulch everything including the plots and the pathways inside the plots, because weeds are growing everywhere.

And weeding, is lots of work.
It grows everywhere, very fast.

However four bales of straw wasn't enough for all the six main plots. We were able to cover five plots. Still waiting for more....

While we were waiting for more hay, we started making supports for the tomato plants.

We used the cotton bed sheets (courtesy of Russ) to support the branches.

 We also used stakes to support the tomatoes, tying it with strings.

 This week, we also had some animal problems.  They ate the beets...



....and broccoli.

This happened only in some plots, where we used old chicken fence to fence the plot.

          It's me here, selling lettuce for $3 to a very nice lady.
