Hello student gardeners!
Question: What’s up in the Mount Holyoke Student Garden shed?
Answer: EVERYTHING!
Two days ago, we at the Mount Holyoke Student Garden cleaned and inventoried our shed and found lots of useful things along with some other pretty… interesting things. In case you’re looking to volunteer with us or just stop up, here’s what you can expect to see in its (organized! clean! walkable!) midsts:
- 8 hoes (2 of which are our new, very nice ones)
- 2 pointy nosed shovels
- 2 brooms
- 2 giant compost shovels (square)
- 1 edger
- 5 rakes, of varying shapes and sizes
- 1 small square shovel
- A BAJILLION HOSES
- lots of extra fence material (from the original fence)
- one mirror w/ breast cancer ribbon
- 7 5-gallon buckets
- a LOT of gardening gloves
- 2 pairs of rubber gloves
- 5 sprinklers
- 2 extension connectors for hoses
- a lot of “root control” growing bags
- 1 collapsed easel
- a crate of paints, brushes and rags
- bamboo poles and metal poles (7’ tall or more)
- 2 really nice camping chairs
- fertilizer
- flag bucket
- 1 scale (functioning!)
- 1 funnel
- 1 sprayer for foliar spray fertilizer
- 1 bottle foliar fish spray
- URINE: 2 bottles liquid coyote urine, 1 container ground coyote urine, 1 bottle crocodile urine
- decorating tiles
- flats for starting seeds
- 2 giant rolls of burlap
- bug repellant
- super hot cayenne pepper powder
- lots of wire
Things in the toolbox:
- trowels
- twine
- colored tape
- sanding rags
- nails/screws
- mallet
- many hose connectors
- 1 random bungee cord
- S hooks

- 4 creepy ballerinas
- lots of junk to be thrown out (after being drained of rainwater…)

now that you have crocodile urine does that mean that have to pee in the bucket anymore...?

I'd love to see a photo of the garden. . . especially that corn!! Anything to eat out of that garden yet? Cilantro pesto? Tomatoes? Cucumbers? Melons flowering? Basil?
Yeah, I was worried about those bunnies. They sound aggressive. I wonder, did you try making some more garlic/pepper spray? Though if it's raining a lot that might be futile. Might be futile regardless. What about your aunt in maine's deer repellant recipe, Annie?????
